Treasured Finds...

I love finding different things that I would add to a house...paintings, flowers, furniture etc. I am blown away by people's creativity and would love to have the money to go on a shopping spree to decorate a house! Here are some of my favourite pieces :).

This would look great outside, and depending on if the metal is protected, would look great if it rusted also.

What a day to daydream...

It is only Tuesday, and it feels like I have had a full weeks worth of work already. Within the past six months I have learnt some very big lessons and I know that there are still more to come. Sometimes it is very difficult to get perspective in life when you  are working full time and have little time to spare outside of those eight, painfully busy hours in the workplace. I do wonder sometimes how much of our lives are spent working and how much time do we get to take care of ourselves, to have fun, and to enjoy our loved ones. We all seem to be aware that life is too short, however we maintain our 9 to 5 jobs in hope of becoming more successful at what we do, and aiming to make a decent amount of money in order to set ourselves up for future happiness. Some days, I find myself daydreaming about how nice it would be to grow a sustainable garden on a tropical island, surrounded by beautiful scenery and wildlife.

The island would be famous for its plentiful amount of chocolate and coffee beans, which are then sold to a wealthy overseas market to keep the island thriving. I would also like to think that the island could have its own religion derived from Buddhism. I do wonder how much work I get done when I daydream, or if the daydreaming is a therapeutic way to maintaining a balance of the mind. I believe it is so important to focus on the special things in life, and be conscious of how much time we spend working...sometimes in jobs that make us tired and unhappy...all for what? money? success?

Since life is so short, why make it shit?!
