Something for a Sunday...

The sun has come out today and managed to warm Dunedin up a little. I opened up all the house, hoping to filter in some warmth. It has been a mixed bag this week with the weather, we even had some snow. I had to drive up a very steep road earlier in the week which was covered in snow. I basically went up thinking, bugger this, I have no idea if I am going to get to the top or not. Thankfully I did, but I don't recommend taking to many risks in the snow. I had a brakes failure last year driving in the snow and I think that has put me off a bit. One morning the frost was so bad that it had frosted my car door shut. I am not a winter girl so I find the frosty mornings and rainy days a bit shit, to be blunt. Today is fantastic though, I have my laptop on my lap, by the window with the sun streaming in. I should be doing work, as it is piled up on my desk next to me, but I just wanted to put a little something up on my blog.

I came across this quote which I really I thought I would share it...
“To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and to endure the betrayal of false friends. To appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.”
― Ralph Waldo Emerson
